Mr. Tom

This was a benefit show for the family of the late Steve Thomason.

An auction was also a part of this show, as they would auction for an
hour and wrestle for an hour over the six hours. They had like 4
tables full of all kinds of stuff plus gift certificates and some of
Thomason's personal items. Among the more notable items were: a denim
shirt with Alan Jackson's picture autographed by Jackson, a
basketball autographed by Pat Summitt, and a TNA shirt autographed by
everyone on the PPV last Sunday (including Chris Candido), which went
for $100. They also had fans bid on dinner dates with wrestlers.
Mikey Dunn went for $45, Big T $40, but at the end of the night,
James Storm went for $1000!!!

There were wrestlers from several different promotions appearing on the show.
JT Quest b Cody Whitehead
Basic exchanges to start. CW gets flying presses for twos, but misses
a splash. Q gets a suplex for 2 followed by a flying elbow and a
lariat, but he misses a splash. Each misses something else, CW a
diving headbutt, and Q a Lawler fistdrop. Q catches CW off the top
into a belly to belly suplex for the pin in about six minutes.

Void b AJ Bradley
Folks here were glad to see Void again. Void is now sporting a beard.
Void tries to go for the submission early, but can't lock it in. V
hits a cartwheel elbow, but misses a leg lariat in the corner. B gets
V on the mat in kind of a half nelson thingy. V gets an ankle lock,
but B pushes up and hits an enziguri, followed by a ki-krusher for 2.
V escapes a DVD attempt and gets B in a crossface. B taps out at
around six minutes.

Lee Victory (w/Lex Victory) & Sharp Dressed Man Lawrence (w/ Kyle the
Butler) b Jason James & Chris Cane
We have our first heat of the day as James and Cane are greeted
warmly by the Columbia fans. Bird notes that the last time Lex was
here, he was carried out on a stretcher. Bird is glad he is doing
better. CC has the locals riled up for some reason, thus they are
overjoyed when LV hiptosses him out of the ring. J & C take a 20
second TO.  L beats on CC, LV then clotheslines both heels at once.
Faces work over JJ, with L applying a single leg crab as LV drops the
leg on JJ's head. CC and ref argue thus allowing the doubling to
continue. JJ whips LV into CC's boot and heels get the advantage. LV
hangs in there fighting one on two, but heels able to keep the
advantage. Double clothesline puts JJ & LV down. L gets hot tag, all
four in. LV toses out CC, then hits a frog splash on JJ for the pin
in about ten minutes. LV gets on the mic, puts over Gail. JJ & CC
scuffle a bit afterwards.

Richard Ezell and Bubba Morton (w/Gordon) went to time limit draw.
Kind of faster paced than expected to start with RE really on fire.
Pretty much went back and forth with lots of two counts and stuff.
There was a ten minute time limit here that they hit in seven (by my
count). RE stayed in the ring to be auctioned off.

Mikey Dunn & Eric Robertson & Chris Oliver b Max Hatter & Big T
(w/Angel) & Hammerjack (w/K-9 Kohl)
HJ gets welcomed back as only Columbia can:) BT is sporting a noose,
while MH appears to have a new mask. ER on fire to start, ranas MH.
Faces all come in, heels all bail out for a quick conference. Back in
BT tosses out MD so that Angel can be part of the experience,
slapping MD. HJ monkey flips MD through the ropes right back out to
the floor, then beats on his leg with a chair. Back in, MD gets
tripled. CO gets hot tag, all 3 faces do corner 10-punch on all 3
heels, whips them all together, then MH & BT get dropkicked out to
the floor. HJ picks up CO for a slam, but CO slides down his back and
rolls HJ up for the pin in thirteen minutes.

Arrick Andrews b Nore Havoc
AA on fire to start until N catches him off the ropes. AA crotches N
in the corner, suplexes him for 2. N catches AA off the corner with a
rock bottom/backbreaker, then into a cobra clutch, threatening to
break AA's freakin' back. N misses legdrop from top. Both down until
seven count, then block each other's moves for a bit, until AA hits a
spinkick to the gut and covers for a pin in about seven minutes.

Bobby Lowe (w/Destiny) b Yukon Jack
YJ out on the mic, says he is the sexiest man alive. Bird plays "I'm
Too Sexy" and YJ tries to strip, which is funny considering YJ is
about twice as big as Dusty Rhodes.  YJ does jumping jacks and push
up to proves to BL that he's in shape, though his pants keep wanting
to drop. BL manages to toss out YJ, who gets stuck between the bottom
rope and the mat. It goes back and forth for a bit, then BL throws YJ
off the top as he was going for a splash. YJ gets stuck between the
ropes again, and BL does a guillotine legdrop followed by Destiny
doing a 619! BL hits a frog splash for the pin in around six minutes.

Kory Williams & Kid Thrilla b Damien (w/Chris Danger) & Dan Morrow
(w/Athena)-- well, sort of
Ricky Bell is the ref. CD notes that Damien's regular partner in the
Devil's Disciples, Dante has taken a trip or something this weekend,
so he has a replacement in "Delicious" DM. Athena notes that DM is
delicious every single night. Dante queries CD as to why he doesn't
say that about him(?!). CD says D is "nutritious" (to go along with
"delicious" see?). KW on mic, tries to clarify everyone's positions
on this, as D debates with folks in the crowd. All 4 push Bell around
to start. Lot of arguing/stalling to start. KT steps on CD fingers.
Faces work on DM to start, as the other heels argue amongst
themselves and with fans, allowing faces to switch up. KW crawls
around ring apron and cops a feel on Athena. DM does same trying to
sneak up on KT, but gets popped upside the head. Heels have more
malfunctions, as KW slips through crowd to cop another feel on
Athena. D tags in, and plays "hide the object" with CD's stick/baton.
D whips KT into ropes where CD uses stick/baton, and heels double on
KT, who gets tossed out long enough for Athena to give a
complimentary slap. KT gets a sunset flip on D, but ref and CD are
exchanging stock tips or something. KW gets hot tag, all 4 in. A
double team stroke puts DM down and faces put ref Ricky Bell on top
as they count the pinfall in about eighteen minutes. KW declares Bell
the winner.

James Storm b Matt Dillenger (w/Chris Danger)
Wolfie D is special ref, as MD has a problem with this. WD
confiscates CD's baton/stick, and makes him stay seated in the
corner. MD declares himself the "greatest Southern-style indy
wrestler". Okay. JS out shooting off his guns. JS starts with a
flurry, MD bails out to huddle with CD, who slides his chair over to
meet MD. JS stomps CD's fingers, WD does same. MD tosses JS to floor,
CD is caught trying to choke JS. Back in, JS ducks legdrop on ropes,
MD crotches himself. JS get a powerslam for 2, followed by a spinning
bulldog for 2. JS up top, but MD shoved WD into ropes, crotching JS.
MD gets 2 with a suplex off the top rope, followed by a legdrop from
the top. Both heels grab chairs and head to ring. WD stops CD, but MD
whacks JS with his. WD & MD argue, MD swinga and WD hits back, giving
MD a drop on the chair. JS superkicks and covers for the three in
twelve minutes. MD tries to attack JS during his being auctioned off,
but only gets more superkicks for his trouble.
